So we are back, notice of a wonderful weekend in Amsterdam, unfortunately I had that a week was not enough by far to once again feasting, shopping, strolling and discovering new. The weather was moderate, but I still could use some nice pictures of indoor and outdoor capture with my camera.
It starts with us always in the Magna Plaza, a beautiful building with very nice stores, but before we jump into the fray, we visit the Ovid and drink in this beautiful Cafe - Bistro in peace our coffee. Today I will show you the night porter of Ovid, it is made on the stairs to the upper very comfortable. Calmly he lies and keeps a nap and can be disturbed by anything or anyone.
Amsterdam the way, is looking for the city of cats, there is almost no window display, or is no restaurant in which not a cat. Because due to the many canals and old houses, the velvet paws have there a very serious job - as Mäuseverjager -
Is not this a fantastic chandelier? I would easily hang in my hallway, if he were not so big and so hard to clean.
Unfortunately, it is relatively difficult to make a good picture from inside the Magna Plaza `s because it is incredibly large, so I've limited only to the foyer with staircase.
My favorite shop in the basement with its beautiful furniture and decorated table by Sissy Boy Girls & I wanted you, but show them. What got me again tasted some persuasion with respect to a very nice staff (shooting for is not actually allowed) - I have him but clarified in Dutch it: I was such a great fan of the store and wanted to let you participate because you're all lovers . If you were of good things, and now as the time everywhere in the Netherlands - there are rules, but which may be broken - I could snap some pictures.
Here is a small excerpt from the Magna Plaza - exterior
These magnificent horse, you can enjoy romantic city tours, now there are bike rickshaws. In the background is a building where Madame Tussands and Peek & Cloppenburg is housed.
De Bijenkorf is one of the oldest department stores in Amsterdam. It is like a bit of the KaDeWe in Berlin, but without food section. It is located on De Dam and the Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky, de Oude Kerk, the Palace and Madame Tausand. But as it teeming with people, I have not made too many photos of De Dam.
The famous Art Deco hotel and restaurant, Cafe Americain on the Amstel is also one of our highlights. We love it here in this splendid setting our "farewell coffee" drink.
These are just a few of the old houses in the past few years have been rebuilt. It was only the front, are what for me was always a miracle, for it was indeed only a few inches stones, about 10 of these houses were a wonderful theater rebuilt. As the road is very narrow, unfortunately, it is impossible to get the full theater on a picture.
So now I hope I could show you today some of Amsterdam. - Tomorrow we will continue with my trip report.
Best wishes Christine
